“Together In Harmony”

Who Are We?

Welcome to our new website which replaces www.wirralcommunitychoir.com .  Please bear with us as we expand the content of the new site!

Peninsula Singers is a choir of over 50 voices from most parts of the Wirral with a wide ranging repertoire from the lighter side of choral singing to Sacred Music via Rock and Musicals.  We have gained a reputation for excellent singing and varied concert programmes, often featuring guest performers from many different genres and all ages

We meet at Wallasey Village United Reformed Church, which is by the Lighthouse pub, on Thursdays from 6.30 to 8.30 pm during ‘school terms’

We would like to invite new members, female and male voices to join us. If you would like to come and sample a rehearsal or two, contact us, details on the Join Us page. That way someone will welcome you when you arrive.

About Us

Come to an Event!

Peninsula Singers rehearse weekly each Thursday and work towards a concert performance, usually three times per year.  We perform at various venues in the Wirral with a capacity to comfortably seat our 50 strong choir and an audience of around 120-200, but of course this mix is always adaptable as the choir grows or venues change

Our concert programmes are chosen by our professional Musical Director and her Deputy;  they always offer variety and entertainment for our audience and a challenge for the choir members.  Concerts have a theme connecting the choice of songs performed

Past concert themes have included   ‘Peace, Love & Harmony’     ‘Broadway’    ‘With a Song in my Heart’  our 2024 Christmas concert  ‘Christmas Time is Here’ and most recently ‘Songs of the Decades’

Why Join?

The benefits of belonging to a choir are well documented (simply Google it to see for yourself…) obviously there is the enjoyment of singing and learning new songs, but much more than this, our members are like-minded people who have become a group of friends, who support one another in various ways

Singing with a choir can improve overall well-being and boost self-confidence, and can relieve stress and anxiety.  It is a great way of making new friends and something your family and friends can enjoy when they attend our concerts

Please don’t hesitate to contact us via this website, or speak to any choir member if attending a concert, in order to arrange sitting in at a rehearsal and see for yourself how friendly and relaxed Peninsula Singers are:  Together in Harmony

We look forward to inviting you along
