The Choir

The choir began as a ‘college evening class’ and grew into a 100 strong choir over the years, however in 2018 the Wirral Community Choir became independent of Birkenhead 6th Form college and began a new chapter, moving to our current rehearsal space.

Sadly, as with all choirs, the Covid19 pandemic lockdown prevented rehearsals and numbers dropped once we were allowed to return, but since 2021 our numbers have settled to a very manageable 50-ish

We have now, with new musical leadership renamed the Choir  PENINSULA SINGERS  and as we launch this new website, we look forward to welcoming new members, in particular Tenors and Basses
