The Choir

The choir began as a ‘college evening class’ and grew into a 100 strong choir over the years, however in 2018 the Wirral Community Choir became independent of Birkenhead 6th Form college and began a new chapter, moving to our current rehearsal space.

Sadly, as with all choirs, the Covid19 pandemic lockdown prevented rehearsals and numbers dropped once we were allowed to return, but since 2021 our numbers have settled to a very manageable 50-ish

Under our recent change of musical leadership we renamed the Choir  PENINSULA SINGERS and we are experiencing a quiet renaissance having swelled our ranks in most sections, however we still welcome interest from all voice types, but most particularly for the Soprano section
